CB Radios Make A Comeback
CB Radios seem to be making a comeback. I'm starting to hear more local citizen band radio operators lately, then before. I remember back in the days when the channels were just crowded, boy do I miss those days.
Some mobile CB Radios For Sale that are in demand are the Galaxy DX 88 and the Galaxy DX-959 unit. Magnum 10 meter radios are also popular, for those looking outsite the standard cb radio line.
On the other hand, antennas are kind of boring.. The IMAX 2000 and Antron 99 are still the most popular cb antennas, however I would like to see more choices out there. Aluminum antennas such as the Maco V5/8 is just mediocre in performance.
The dx conditions are starting to quiet down as we move out of the summer, but just the other night I reached west coast (California) and New York 10 minutes later. 11 meters is vulnerable to weather and atmospheric conditions, but I've talked more skip with my cb radio than I ever have with my ham radio.
